In honor of the late Menil Trustee Marion Barthelme Fort, each year a distinguished speaker is invited to explore the work of a key artist in the Menil Collection.
Rachael Z. DeLue, professor at Princeton University, will examine the work of Kara Walker. DeLue has written extensively on a variety of topics including American Modernism, African American Art, and critical race theory. She is the author of George Inness and the Science of Landscape (2004) and Arthur Dove: Always Connect (2016).
