Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 – Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019

Learn the importance of having strong structures and how to build in this series of Structural Engineering workshops! Use high-powered tools, programming equipment and more in the Chevron Maker Annex with the Kid's Maker Crew.

In Level 1 you will begin to learn basic engineering principles of structural engineering by designing and building a weight-bearing bridge.

In Level 2 you will design and construct a building to withstand a series of simulated natural disasters.

In Level 3 you will put your knowledge of structural engineering to the test as you design and build a space-capsule to protect a load and withstand the extreme conditions of outer-space!

Upon completion of this Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 workshops, interested participants will be invited to join our brand new Kid's Maker Crew - with exclusive workshop and tinkering opportunities.

Please note that preceding level(s) must be completed before moving on to next level. When available, only register for next level 2 and/or 3 if you have completed the previous level(s).
