Become immersed in Houston's diverse Asian heritage and ring in the new year as we celebrate the year of the dog during our Lunar New Year bash at The Children’s Museum of Houston.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

• Fire Lanterns: Shine a light in the New Year by decorating a bright lantern.
  •   Event time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kids' Hall.
• Origami: Learn about the delicate art of origami and create a masterpiece.
  •  Event time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kids' Hall.
• Lei Making: Welcome the New Year with vibrant decorative flowers to wear.
  • Event time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kids' Hall. 
• Year of the Dog Fans: Howl at the moon as you dance and celebrate the new year with your very own dog fan.
  • Event time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kids' Hall. 
• Mitsi Dancing School: Experience chills and thrills as the Mitsi Dance School puts on a pulse pound and exciting performance.
  • Event Time: 12 p.m. at Brown Auditorium.
• J&H Dance School: Come listen and watch as we welcome a stunning dance performance from different countries in asia.
  • Event time:1 p.m. at Brown Auditorium
• Lavang Lion Dancers: Watch as lions grove to the beat of the drums in an exhilarating performance.
  • Event time:  2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Brown Auditorium and Kid's Hall Alcove.
