Harrow Lecture: “Clay and Digital Fabrication: Labor, Authorship, Aesthetics, and the Post-Human

The workshop will introduce computer aided design and parametric modeling as tools for exploring ceramic form. Participants will explore basic, practical techniques for translating forms from the computer into clay, along side more abstract ideas surrounding the integration of digital tools into ceramic practice and methodology.

About the Lecture

About Del Harrow
Del Harrow lives and works in Fort Collins, CO, and is an Associate Professor at Colorado State University where he teaches sculpture, digital fabrication and ceramics.

He has taught and lectured at Penn State University, Kansas City Art Institute, The University of Colorado, Alfred University, the Harvard University Graduate School for Design, Penland School of Crafts, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and Cranbrook Academy of Art among many others.

His work has been exhibited recently at The Milwaukee Art Museum, The Denver Art Museum, The Arizona State University Art Museum, Vox Populi Gallery, and Harvey Meadows gallery.He is represented by Haw Contemporary in Kansas City, MO.
