JULY Maker Workshop: JAPANESE JOURNALS

Kids can tap into their creative potential in the Chevron Maker Annex for a hands-on, interactive workshop, where they'll learn how to create handmade journals using a traditional Japanese stab-binding technique!

Workshops are held at designated days and times:
General Public Workshop:
Thursday: 5:30 – 7:30 pm
Saturday: 2-4 pm

About the Workshop

Chevron Maker Annex workshops are held on a first-come, first-serve basis. Children must be at least 8 years old to participate in this workshop and a waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian.

HOURS & ADMISSION

  • Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Sunday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
    Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.  
  • General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.

  • Parking fees: 1 hour - $8, 2 hours - $9, 3+ hours - $10. Metered and street parking are available around the Children's Museum Houston.
