Learn more about the exhibition Everybody talks about the weather… We don’t during a conversation with the artists, curator, and guest curator. This is the first U.S. solo exhibition for Pauline Boudry / Renate Lorenz, featuring a new major moving image work—Telepathic Improvisation (2017)—and two new sculptures.
About Pauline Boudry / Renate Lorenz
Pauline Boudry / Renate Lorenz are based in Berlin and have been working together since 2007. Their staged films and film installations have been the subject of solo exhibitions at Kunsthalle Zürich in Switzerland, the Kunsthalle Wien in Austria (both 2015), the Badischer Kunstverein in Karlsruhe, Germany, and CAPC musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux, France (both 2013). Recent titles in their filmography include Silent (2016); I Want (2015); To Valerie Solanas and Marilyn Monroe, In Recognition of their Desperation (2013); and Toxic (2012). Boudry / Lorenz’s films have screened at the Berlinale in Germany (2015), the Biennale of Moving Images in Geneva (2015), the Museum of Modern Art in New York (2014), and the Nottingham Contemporary in the UK (2015).
