Founded in 2014, Iconoclast is a community of young artists that encourages writing, spoken performances, and the sharing of ideas. Join Iconoclast members to celebrate the publication of their second anthology of poetry, They Say Vol. 2, written by some of Houston’s most creative and talented young poets.
Stop by this free event to enjoy performances of selected poems from the anthology, including some inspired by the art on view in Adiós Utopia: Dreams and Deceptions in Cuban Art Since 1950. If you can, arrive early—before the program, poets and visitors are invited to view Adiós Utopia.
Visit iconoclastartists.org to learn more about the Iconoclast program and events.
Drop in! This event is free. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. On Thursdays, Museum general admission is free, courtesy of Shell.
