A scholar of late ancient and medieval art and former Director of the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Gary Vikan presents a lecture on his new book Sacred and Stolen: Confessions of a Museum Director. A memoir of his adventurous career as a curator and museum director, the book includes Vikan’s account of working with Menil co-founder Dominique de Menil to develop a collection of ancient and medieval works of art.
