The snow queen herself, Anna, and Olaf are flying on a snow cloud down to the Children’s Museum of Houston for a one-time, exclusive meet-and-greet and musical extravaganza, bringing her coolness to the Museum. Come feel the brisk presence of Elsa and snap a selfie with her entourage during this fan celebration.  Don’t miss this cool event!

Event time: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Kids' Hall Alcove. 

ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:

  • Snow Globe Ornaments: Build a uniquely you winter scene inside a snow globe to display at home at Alexander Art Academy.
  • Frosted Flake: Make your own snowflake out of salt crystals at EcoStation.
  • Match that Snowflake: Did you know no two snowflakes are ever alike? Learn about the different snowflake types at EcoStation.
  • Mitten Measurements: Discover why mittens keep your hands nice-n-warm when it's cold outside at EcoStation.
  • Static Electric Snow: Let it snow... with static electricity! Manipulate tiny bits of "snow" using static charge at Science Station.
  • Jingle Bell Bracelets: Make a fun and festive bracelet that you can certainly jingle all the way home at Junktion.
  • Reindeer Masks: Become a fuzzy reindeer and paint on a very shiny nose... that some say even glow at Junktion.
  • Holiday Wreath: Handmake a holiday wreath to hang in your home at Junktion.
  • How Many Pennies?: Weigh toys and find out how many pennies its worth by balancing the weight with pennies at Math Cart.
  • Icy Igloos: How big can you make an igloo? Use blocks to build a mammoth-sized igloo at Math Cart.
  • Zip Line Sleigh: Engineer a mini version of Santa's sleigh and test it on a zip line at Chevron-Houston Texans Maker Annex.

  • Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Sunday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
    Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.  
  • General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.

  • Parking fees: 1 hour - $8, 2 hours - $9, 3+ hours - $10. Metered and street parking are available around the Children's Museum Houston.
