In this food talk and workshop for all ages Yunan Yang, chef and co-founder of Houston’s beloved Pepper Twins restaurants, will talk about the history and culture of dumplings in China followed by a dumpling-making workshop.

Whether fried or steamed, filled with meat, seafood, or vegetables, dumplings (jiǎozi/饺子) are globally famous for their tasty, homey quality. But did you know that different regions of China have their own dumpling style and that special dumplings are made for holidays and other events? You will learn all about dumplings and have the chance to make your own!

This class is designed for those with little to no experience, and is appropriate for all ages. Families with children, adults, and lifelong learners are welcome! At the end you will leave with a new set of skills to try out at home!

Limited spots available. First 75 participants only. Tickets will not be available on the day of the program. Reserve you spot today!

About the Chef

Yang was a successful doctor and cancer medical researcher when, in 2015, she decided to take a break from medicine to indulge her passion for country-style, organic Chinese food. The first Pepper Twins restaurant, with its authentic Sichuanese dishes, was an instant hit. There are currently four Pepper Twins restaurants in the Houston area.
