This docudrama is based on actual events. Led by 13-year-old Fanny, a group of children travels across Nazi-occupied France during World War II. The children are variously pursued by Nazis and their allies in Vichy, betrayed by seemingly trustworthy adults, protected by a group trying to save Jewish children, and transported by a smuggler as they attempt to make their way alone to neutral Switzerland in this beautifully filmed portrayal of a harrowing journey.

Fanny's Journey won both the Audience Award and the Jury Prize for Best Narrative at the prestigious 2017 Atlanta Jewish Film Festival.
