Calling all theatre buffs! Come enjoy an improv storytelling performance called "Aztec Princess" Gather around the stage and discover a story about Mexico. You won't want to miss this exciting tale!

Event time: May 3 , 6:30  p.m. in Brown Auditorium

ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:

  • Scenic Cities: Adventure awaits as you explore and create different cityscapes using different colors to send to your friends at Alexander Art Academy.
  • Earthly Patterns: The sun and the moon come out to play and inform you with an interactive guide about the world around us at EcoStation.
  • Lifecycle of a grasshopper: Learn about the lifecycle of the grasshopper, the national arthropod of Mexico at EcoStation.
  • Destination Celebration Passport: Spin the globe and pick a destination, before you leave, make your own colorful destination passport at Junktion.
  • Packed and Ready to Go!: Pack your bags and become a global jet-setter as you design your own travel bag out of an eco-friendly paper sack at Junktion.
  • Greetings From...: Document your international travels are you write and send postcards to your friends all over the world at Junktion. 
  • Roll on a Rainbow: Discover the colors of the world as you play a dice rainbow board game at Math Cart.
  • Mag-Lev Trains: Travel in comfort at the speed of sound as you discover the technology behind mag-lev trains at Science Station.
  • Starch Testing: Discover the importance of starch in your diet and test for its presence in common household items at Power Science Lab. 
  • Neutralization Reaction: Observe a neutralization reaction and learn how our body's digestive system works at Power Science Lab. 
  • Cabbage Chemistry: Using red cabbage juice come learn how to test the liquid in a cabbage for pH levels at Power Science Lab.
  • DNA Extraction: Learn about DNA and extract it from strawberries at Power Science Lab.

  • Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Sunday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
    Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.  
  • General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.

  • Parking fees: 1 hour - $8, 2 hours - $9, 3+ hours - $10. Metered and street parking are available around the Children's Museum Houston.
