Everyone comes from somewhere. Begin your journey and write your story during Every Hero Has a Story WonderWeek!

WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK: 

  • Illuminated Letters: Create an embellished letter, inspired by manuscripts of the Middle Ages, using symbols that represent you in Art Academy!
  • Cartesian Divers!: Discover the principles of buoyancy and the gas laws that dictate their strange behaviors as you make your own superhero dive in Science Station!
  • Shoe Box Guitar: Make music while exploring the effects of tension and length of strings on an instrument in Science Station!
  • DIY Comic Strip: Create a comic strip featuring your own superhero’s and villains in Junktion!
  • Super Disguise Mask: Ordinary civilian by day, superhero by night! Create your own disguise mask based off of Superman in Junktion.
  • Sea Trident: Guests will make their own sea trident inspired by superheo Aqua Man in Junktion.
  • Super Hero Lego Towers: Race to the top as you play and build a super tower in Math Cart!
  • Circuit Blocks: Expirement with different electrical components as you try to build working circuits in Inventor's Workshop.
  • Inspired by Nature: Match each invention to its natural inspiration in EcoStation.
  • Shark Skimmer: Make your own hat, complete with dorsal and caudal fins, inspired by the robot from the classic film Jaws in EcoStation.

HOURS & ADMISSION

  • Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Sunday, Noon - 6:00 pm
    Open Monday during Spring Break, Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day. Summer: Open Mondays Memorial Day through Labor Day. Closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.  
  • General Admission: $12 per person and $11 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.

  • Parking fees: 1 hour - $7 2 hours - $8 3+ hours - $9 Metered and street parking are available around the Children's Museum of Houston.
