The Menil Collection is proud to present a musical performance, Echoes from Within: A Musical Response to Cy Twombly, by composers Shih-Hui Chen and Kurt Stallmann. This world premiere, inspired by the Cy Twombly Gallery at the Menil Collection, blends electronic music with live performances by Sheng player Wu Wei and bassist Shawn Conley.
This performance is open to the public, but reservations are required. Space is limited. To RSVP, please email Laura Nauert at [email protected]. Please note that there are two public performances of this piece on Friday, September 7: One at 5:30 p.m. and another at 7:30 p.m. Please be sure to specify which performance you will be attending.
