Reduce! Reuse! Recycle! Spring into action and celebrate the wonders of the world during the Children's Museum's Earth Day Bash. Discover ways to make a difference, and practice protecting the planet we call home.

About the Programs & Activities

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Can-struction Houston, Inc.: Abel Design Group and Booker T. Washington High School students will demonstrate how to build a CanSculpture. The cans will then benefit the Houston Food Bank.

Trees for Houston: Take home free tree seedlings and tree cartons to decorate (while supplies last). Texas Wildlife Association: Participate in a wild presentation of skulls and skins.

Environmental Protection Agency: Learn how to protect our planet during an interactive demo.

ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:

* Plantable Seed Paper: Make a piece of paper out of recycled newspaper at EcoStation.

* Community Art: Paint a strip of repurposed cardboard to display in the Alexander Art Academy.

* Reduce! Reuse! Recycle! Play this game and learn how to help the environment at EcoStation.

* Earth Day Fans: Create a wonderful work of art out of recycled materials at Junktion.

* Speak for the Trees: Create a unique work of environmental art at Junktion.

HOURS & ADMISSION

Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
Sunday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.
General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.

Parking fees: 1 hour - $8, 2 hours - $9, 3+ hours - $10. Metered and street parking are available around the Children's Museum Houston.
