Coinciding with Jeanette Joy Harris’ exhibition Vanishing Discotecas, Lawndale will host a discussion about gentrification in East Downtown Houston. Focusing on how to best provide economic opportunities while maintaining the fabric of this historic neighborhood, panel topics will include: METRO rail expansion, shifts in demographics and economic development.

Participants include: Diane Barber, Managing Director of East End Foundation; Diane Schenke, President, Greater East End Management District; Linda Trevino, Senior Stakeholder Affairs Representative, METRO; and David Guerrero, Owner, Andes Cafe. The panel will be moderator by Teresa Schneider, Shareholder, Winstead PC.
