EXPRESSIVE-ARTS-240X240

Wednesdays, Jul 20 - Aug 10, 5:45 pm-7:15 pm

Explore the art of letter writing as a tool for self-discovery and reflection. In this experiential workshop, participants will practice writing letters to an “other,” whether that be to themselves, a loved one, a person with whom they’ve had unresolved conflict, or a public figure or fictional character who has had a profound impact on them.

Examples of letters from literature will be presented and discussed to provide context and inspiration. Participants will not be required to share their letters with others, but rather their experiences of writing them.

About the Workshop

Addie Tsai's work has been published in anthologies and literary magazines. She co-conceived Victor Frankenstein, and collaborated on Camille Claudel with Dominic Walsh Dance Theater. Her photography was exhibited with FotoFest. Tsai holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College. She teaches at HCC and is currently a PhD student in Texas Woman's University's dance studies program.
