The Archetype of Grief

PSYCHOLOGY-AND-LIFE-240X240

Who is it that visits when our lives are shattered? By studying the archetypes that have shown the tendency to devastate our lives, we can glimpse the energies that impact us – and maybe find a meaning.

In this workshop, the group will explore how the wellspring of the unconscious can guide people through the necessary encounter with meaninglessness and suffering. The group will examine — through story, art, writing, and reflective exercises — how changing one's myth of grieving can make deep, necessary personal and social changes.

Recommended reading: Memories, Dreams, Reflections, Carl Jung; Field, Form and Fate, Michael Conforti
