Visitors can enhance the experience of reading the novel The Promise by Ann Weisgarber with a docent-led tour of the Museum's galleries.
Each stop on the tour includes discussion of excerpts from the novel and artworks in the Museum’s galleries which connect with the characters, narrative, or a prominent theme in the novel.
Guests are encouraged to bring their copy of the book and willingness to share thoughts about what they read as well as what they in the galleries.
About the Tour
This novel is the 2015 selection for Gulf Coast Reads, an annual initiative that focuses on promoting the simultaneous reading and discussing of a selected book by residents of the upper Texas Gulf Coast.
