PSYCHOLOGY-AND-LIFE-240X240

Carl Jung stated that “the human psyche lives in indissoluble union with the body.” Increase your awareness of the body as a psychic container in this experiential lecture and workshop.

Friday night, we will examine Jung’s relationship with the body and practice chanting using Jung’s words and crystal bowls. We will also practice yoga poses to bring space and vitality to the spine, preparing the body for an exploration of the chakras.

Saturday, we will investigate the questions “What is the body?” and “What is the subtle body?” by focusing on the chakras through listening and imagining. We will use story, sounding, visualization and drawing to awaken and enliven our bodies as containers of both soul and spirit.

Yoga mats will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.
