Adam Vines is Associate Professor of English at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he teaches poetry writing. He is the editor of the Birmingham Poetry Review and his interests lie in contemporary poetry and creative writing. His published works include The Coal Life: Poems, University of Arkansas Press, February 2012 and most recently he published a volume of ekphrastic works titled Out of Speech: Poems, Louisiana State University Press, March 2018. Mr. Vines will sign copies of his book Out of Speech: Poems following his presentation.
