The Menil Collection regrets that the annual Walter Hopps Award Lecture scheduled for Friday, October 27 has been postponed due to visa delays. We look forward to welcoming Reem Fadda, the 2017 recipient of this prestigious award, to Houston at a later date.

Based in Ramallah, Palestine, and Amman, Palestinian curator Reem Fadda is the eighth recipient of the biennial Walter Hopps Award for Curatorial Achievement. Named for the Menil Collection’s founding director and chosen by a distinguished jury, this prestigious honor recognizes outstanding curators in early to mid-career. Get a firsthand account of Fadda’s recent research on contemporary art from Africa and the Middle East.

    Closed Monday and Tuesday.
    Closed major holidays including Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
