The 17th Annual Dance Salad Choreographers’ Forum features the dance art and choreography of Marguerite Donlon of Donlon Dance Collective in Berlin; Susanna Leinonen of Susanna Leinonen Company in Helsinki; and Kristian Lever, whose work is part of this year’s Dance Salad Festival, with dancers from the Royal Danish Ballet accompanied by music from the duo Walentin & McKenzie of Copenhagen.

The featured choreographers share insights into their creative process and show video excerpts of their works.

The program also includes a section from the dance film Ingmar Bergman through the Choreographer’s Eye, depicting choreography and solo dance by renowned Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman, with images of Hammars, Bergman’s home on the island of Fårö.

A panel discussion with the choreographers, and a Q&A, is moderated by Maggie Foyer, a dance writer from London.

The Dance Salad Festival takes place at Wortham Center on April 18, 19, and 20 at 7:30 p.m. More info > dancesalad.org

Drop in! This program is free. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
